The main part of our business is consulting services. We aim to partner with groups, and individuals, and work with them to make progress on a broad range of issues covering:

• investment governance

• (fund) documentation

• investment approach and process

• investment risk and investment risk management

• decision making, and,

• research and strategy.

Our work aims to bring experience and diversity of thought to your group, helping to raise its potential by unpacking, (re-)building and developing your business in a clear and robust way, challenging the status quo where necessary and never accepting “market practice” as a rationale for a way of doing things. We aim to both sounding board and sparring partner.

Typical engagements

• Working with an emerging investment manager to help develop their corporate and investment governance to win business for their first fund/mandate

• Working with an established manager as an independent challenger to help ensure that progress is continuous, predictable surprises are avoided and that employees are able to buy in to any changes

• Helping an investor establish a strategy and process to reach their specific goals in the simplest and most certain way

• Providing research and strategy support to in-house teams, tackling projects where internal resources are insufficient and where gains are to be made from thoughtful interventions

• Independent advisory board or investment committee member to represent investors in a fund
